CVRN Research Overview

Despite advances in diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, it remains the leading cause of death and disability in the United States and one of the fastest rising causes of death and disability in the world.

The first three CVRN projects investigated different aspects of important cardiovascular conditions: hypertension, atrial fibrillation, venous thromboembolic disease, heart failure and sudden cardiac death. Beyond these initial research studies, ancillary research studies were also conducted.
